Common Vaccines:

Rabies, Kennel Cough & Distemper For Dogs

We Can Help You With All Of These Important Vaccines

Some of the more common vaccines for dogs include the rabies vaccine, kennel cough vaccine and the distemper vaccine for dogs.  We can help you with all of these important vaccines, providing you with information on their side effects, and benefits.

Protects More Than Just Your Pet

The rabies vaccine not only protects your pet, but it protects other animals and people who encounter your pet also.  Every year 55,000 people die from exposure to rabies, most often from contact with infected animals. Rabies can be spread from a lick on an open wound, a scratch or a bite from an infected animal.  Having your animal vaccinated protects more than just your pet.

We Can Provide The Vaccine To Keep Your Pet Healthy

The kennel cough vaccine (Bordetella) is mandatory if your pet will be staying in most kennels.  Kennel cough is an infectious disease, which causes a dry, hacking cough that can sometimes become quite severe.  We can provide the vaccine to keep your pet healthy.

The Distemper Vaccine Is Important

The distemper vaccine for dogs prevents a virus that affects a dog’s respiratory, gastrointestinal and central nervous systems, as well as the conjunctival membranes of the eye. Your dog should first be vaccinated at 6 to 8 weeks old, and will be done his/her vaccinations around 4 or 5 months old. The distemper vaccine is important as it is a very serious illness, and should be prevented.
