SERVICES:

We are a small animal clinic that caters to the needs of dogs, cats, and small furry pets like rabbits, hamsters, etc.  We focus both on Preventative Wellness and the treatment of illness,  We offer to you our vast experience and genuine compassion here at Stoney Trail Veterinary Clinic and enlist the services of many wonderful specialists here in the City of Calgary, should your pets condition, or your wishes dictate, a referral to this level of care.

General Surgery and Anesthesia:
We perform a wide variety of surgical procedures here at Stoney Trail Veterinary Clinic. This includes routine spaying and neutering of pets, lump removals, trauma repair, bladder stone removal, etc. etc.  We have a separate surgical suite, use sterile technique, and have an excellent standard of anesthetic protocol and monitoring procedures in place. We strongly advise IV fluids are used for any general anesthetic procedure. Pre-anesthetic bloodwork can be done in house and is recommended or required, depending on your pets individual profile.

Dentistry:
Periodontal disease can contribute to other health concerns including heart and kidney disease. We provide a wide range of Pet Dentistry Services including Consultations, Cleanings and Extractions when necessary. Healthy teeth and gums are important to your pet's Health and well-being. Keeping your pet's smile nice and bright also helps to improve his breath, so if your pet's breath is not at its best, feel free to speak to us about how a teeth cleaning can assist you and your pet.

We have a complete dental system that we can do ultrasonic scaling and polishing as well as drill any teeth that may need extraction as well as a dental unit that assists with the extraction of problem teeth

Radiology:
Our clinic is fully equipped to offer prompt X-ray diagnosis in-house. We refer ultrasounds to a specialty clinic

Hospitalization/Nursing Care:
Our Clinic and our Competent Staff are equipped to ensure that your Hospitalized Pet is provided with the highest standard of care during his/her stay.

Nutritional Consultation:
Good nutrition is important for the health of your pet. Our staff will be pleased to assist and advise you regarding any nutritional needs or concerns you may have regarding your pet.

Behavioral Consultation:
We provide Pet Behavior Information, Consultation, and Advise. So if your pet has issues that leave you baffled or you need assistance with, please contact us for a Consultation.

Diagnostics:
Diagnostic Laboratory Services are available in clinic to ensure prompt and timely evaluations of your pet's health care needs.

Pet Foods and Supplies:
We carry a wide selection of pet maintenance and prescription diets from companies such as MediCal, Royal Canin, Eukanuba, and Hills. Should your pet have alternative health care needs, please feel free to communicate them to us as we can provide alternative diets as well as supplies, on request.

Client Education:
We are committed to provide you with the up-to-date information as possible and addressing all and every concern you have concerning your pet's health and well-being. In addition to the information on this web site, we carry a wide selection of in-clinic literature and we are always happy to respond to any questions you may have regarding your pet.
