Meet Ryan Morgan
Dr. Ryan Morgan recently joined the Stoney Trail team as our Medical Director - some of you have already had the pleasure of meeting him and he is looking forward to serving all your pet's medical needs.
Dr. Ryan Morgan has a practice focus in veterinary rehab and uses an integrated approach to assessment and treatment with Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy (VSMT) and medical acupuncture in a holistic approach combined with traditional veterinary medicine.
He is a graduate of the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Healing Oasis Wellness Center post-graduate program in VSMT, and a fellow of the College of Animal Chiropractors. Ryan has always been fascinated with animals and the environment and completed undergraduate studies in both Environmental Biology and Zoology. He is currently completing the Certified Companion Animal Rehabilitation Therapist program with North Carolina State University and plans on continuing his training in functional neurology in order to achieve better rehab outcomes.
Ryan has an adventurous soul and had a varied career in recreation, retail and human resources before becoming a veterinarian. He also loves to travel and has spent time in the Middle East as part of an overseas mission with the Canadian Armed Forces. His goal is to travel to all seven continents, and so far some of his favourite places include Kananaskis (AB), Tofino (BC), Amman (Jordan) and Florence (Italy).
Ryan and his partner adopted their Border Collie Windsor from Heaven Can Wait Rescue in High River, AB when he was found wandering the town at just ten weeks old. Windsor is a big fan of frisbees, balls, running along the Bow River with his dad and hiking in the mountains.
FUN FACT: Ryan is a currently serving Armour Officer with The King’s Own Calgary Regiment (RCAC) in the Canadian Army Reserve.
