Vaccines:

Tailored to meet the individual needs of your pets. Vaccines for dogs and cats are being continually researched, resulting in ever changing recommendations. At Stoney Trail Veterinary Clinic we determine which vaccines are best for your pet based on their medical history and list of prior complaints, previous vaccine side effects, risk of exposure and any legal requirements for vaccination.

Emergencies:

When your pet needs urgent, non life-threatening care before you can get an appointment, our office and will “squeeze” your pet in between our daily scheduled appointments. If your pet needs extensive treatment or we are not able to accomodate, we will refer you to the Fish Creek 24 hour Pet Hospital.

Lab Testing:

Our in house laboratory provides rapid results to diagnose your pets problems and begin appropriate care as quickly as possible.

Nutritional Counseling:

Good nutrition is important for the health of your pet. Our staff will be pleased to assist and advise you regarding any nutritional needs or concerns you may have regarding your pet. We sell a variety of veterinary quality diets to meet the nutritional requirements of growth, maintenance, ageing, weight loss, dental health and numerous diseases. General Surgery & Anesthesia:

We perform a wide variety of surgical procedures at Stoney Trail Veterinary Clinic. This includes routine spaying and neutering, in addition to numerous treatments of disease and injuries. We provide an excellent standard of anesthetic protocol and have numerous monitoring procedures in place to maximize the safety of your pet while undergoing a procedure. Intravenous fluids and pre-anesthetic blood work are standard procedure for most surgeries to ensure your pet is receiving excellent care at our clinic.

Pharmacy:

Extensive pharmacy of medications that can be filled in clinic so no need to stop elsewhere to pick them up. And for those pets that are difficult to medicate we provide alternatives such as flavoured liquids or topical medications.

Dentistry:

Periodontal disease can contribute to other health concerns including heart and kidney disease. We provide a wide range of pet Dentistry services including Consultations, Cleanings and Extractions when necessary. Healthy teeth and gums are important to your pet’s overall health and well-being. Behaviour Counseling:

We provide pet behavior consultation, information and advice. If your pet has issues that leave you baffled or you need assistance with, please contact us for a behavior consultation.

Disease Detection Exams:

We believe in once a year examinations for all pets, and twice a year for seniors. Dr. Huet does a full body examination along with questions about your pets lifestyle, diet and travel history. During this exam Dr. Huet checks your pets eyes, ears, mouth, heart, lungs, and coat, feeling for any abnormalities in the abdomen or lumps on your pet.

International Health Certificates:

Travelling with your pet out of country can be stressful and individual countries have varying requirements to allow your pet entry. To assist you, call our office well in advance of travel to ensure your pet has the proper documents and medications or vaccines.

Radiology:

Dedicated modern digital xray equipment for clear images and quicker diagnosis of injuries to bones and soft tissue. We can also send images to referral centers for a radiologist opinion or just make a copy for you.
